Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual
We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.
Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.
Here is just under 2 hours integration (116 x 60s) on the owl and surfboard using a TS quad at 460 mm. APP again doing a wonderful job knocking away effects from three LED street lights pointing at an angle to the scope. After HSL tool, I did treat the background in PS afterwards, and reduced stars a little since my APO has oil filling between the objective doublet causing sever spikes on bright stars and has to be returned. I'll be curious to see how the star reduction works in APP when it comes, one less thing left to do in PS! These are 12 bit OSC data, no flats, no filters (aside form
UV/IR cut on the camera itself).
Well, that's a beauty, nice and clean. I hope the next release will arrive soon yes, the star reduction seems to work very nice.
Thanks Vincent, good to know the star reduction of nearly here.Â
