Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual
We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.
Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.
Hi Anofeles @anofeles,
Thank you very much for reporting your issue.
First of all, how are you starting APP? The error seems to indicate that you are not starting it in the supported way. You simply need to click the APP icon in the Launchpad or double-click the icon in the Applications folder. The error indicates that you are starting it from the commandline with probably the wrong command or even the wrong java JDK, not the JDK that is shipped with the installation.
If you want to run it from the commandline, do it in the following way:
open -a /Applications/AstroPixelProcessor.app
This ensures that APP is started as we intend to and can support.
Further more, 2.0.0-beta43 is using new internal memory controls, it should work on all the systems where beta42 also worked. But if the system has little RAM memory, there is a chance that beta43 did not work properly. Hence, I released 2.0.0-beta44 this morning that should have fixed that issue.
So please update the 2.0.0-beta44 and let me know if all is okay now 😉

Yes, clicking on the icon is always my first choice for launching the APP. But when I tried it (several times), it didn't work, so I also tried right-clicking and selecting "Open" (that didn't work either), and as a last resort, I went to the Applications folder -> Astropixelprocessor -> contents -> MacOS -> universalJavaApplicationStub
This afternoon I’ll try beta 44 to see if I have any luck.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: beta 44 works fine. Thanks...
