M81 & M82, 150x60s with Altair 183C
Captured 8th May 2020, 99% waning moon, Bortle 6, 53°N.
Altair 66ED refractor, Altair 1.0x flattener, Altair 183C camera.
SharpCap 3.2 (gain=300, black_level=35), APP 1.079, GIMP 2.10.
150x60s lights, 50 darks, 50 flats, 50 bias.
Nice one, but I think it's a bit overstretched and maybe oversaturated, very dark background and the color noise pops up in the galaxies.
Thanks Vincent - the captured data is probably not the best, I will keep practising.
That's the best way to go forward! 🙂 Good luck.
Which Bayer pattern did you use for Debayering with the 183C please?
Capture was with SharpCap and APP debayers as RGGB with no intervention from me.
Thanks Dave - very helpful!
