Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

When combining images from different scopes, the images need to be combined with some magnification adjustments to match different scope focal lenghts. I think this also requires the star shape and quality metrics to be adjusted accordingly.

Hi Astrogee,

You are totally right, APP is actually doing this and have been doing this for several years already.

After 4) Register, you will get adjusted star size/shape and quality metrics, because APP then knows the relative magnifications. 

For instance, Star FWHM min, max (abd -- rel)

the abs is the absolute value found in pixels after star analysis. 

the rel is the relative valye found in pixels after the correction found by registering the images. 

Is this not working as expected?

This is what I get with 2.0.0-beta45, processing 15 subs, 3 subs per optical setup, so 5 different telescopes + cameras:

You see that even the star density appears because it is a measure of the star count per area sky. Notice the difference in the abs and rel values for star FWHM and shape. Also notice that the quality metric is changed after registration to reflect the relative focal lengths.
