It did take a long time to have the work finished on this and it will have a major performance boost of 30-50% over 2.0.0-beta39 from calibration to integration. We extensively optimized many critical parts of APP. All has been tested to guarantee correct optimizations. Drizzle and image resampling is much faster for instance, those modules have been completely rewritten. Much less memory usage. LNC 2.0 will be released which works much better and faster than LNC in it's current state. And more, all will be added to the release notes in the coming weeks...
Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual
We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.
Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

Unfortunately I still have the same issue. But it's ok. It seems to be a problem only on my computer. You've invested so much time on this issue. I don't want any more time to be spent on this issue. Okay, I really do think that the issue on your system will be related to your graphical drivers somehow. So I would suggest that you try the following if you did not do this already: try to clean up the graphical drivers, so first remove the drivers for your AMD graphical chip/card (was AMD right?) completely. Then install the latest graphical drivers from the card manufacturer or from AMD. (Do not use Microsoft drivers!)
The reason for this is that this morning I got a report by email that that solved the issue on someone elses computer, where APP would not start anymore... since 2.0.0-beta14
Can you please try this 2.0.0-beta24-test4 version?
All the work and testing I already did, made me realize that things should and can work better in terms of startup experience of Astro Pixel Processor.
I have done much more modifications now and APP will now start 4x faster than earlier on my Windows 10 machine, startup time was 10seconds, now only 2-3 seconds. On my mac mini M1 it is only 1,5 seconds now, it was 3-4.
Especially OpenGL initialization is much faster, while testing I noticed that OpenGL really benefits if I let it initialize in it's own separate thread. And this is also might be the solution for APP not starting at all in some cases.
Anyway, please test this and let me know if things are better now ;-), thanks !
Mabula, you were right! Although an AMD graphical driver was already installed, I deinstalled it and set up a new one. Now it works finally 🙂 And it works very fast (2.1 sec!) Many, many thanks!
