UPDATE FROM MABULA
I have had a very rough 2 months unfortunately health wise. I was struck 3x in a row with bacterial infections. The second infection occurred after a routine hospital checkup and I became very sick. I had to rest and take a lot of antibiotics. Once I was recovering and restarting work 1 month ago, I again became sick. The infection was not yet gone, so even more antibiotics and rest was needed. Needless to say, it took a lot of my energy and I needed a lot of rest.
Finally, the infection is really gone and my energy is coming back step-by-step now and I have started work again. I am terribly sorry to have kept you waiting for support. I will address all outstanding questions and e-mails step-by step and will be on the forum daily from today.
APP 2.0.0-beta47 will come soon as well, a lot of work was already completed before I became very ill, so the release is also nearly ready for you. Beta47 will be much faster actually. Many workflows will be more than 2x faster, mosaics can even be 10x faster than before because registration really received a major boost... all compared to beta46. Before I release it, I will make sure that everything is working properly and then I will release it.
Whenever I import a bunch of lights/flats/etc into AstroPixel, it always asks me what filter to apply it to. This is error prone (since I am often in a hurry to see the result!) and also, often unnecessary.
ZWO cameras with the electronic filter wheel automatically add `FILTER` attributes in the `.fit` files. I think it would be super convenient to add a setting (probably turned on by default) that will automatically assume that `FILTER=R` means it should apply the red filter, and not even prompt for filter setting. It would be even nicer if I could then import ALL of my lights all in one go (assuming I want them all in the same session) instead of having to do multiple separate imports in the loader section.

This works already - provided your acquisition software is set up correctly.
First I should note - the camera or the filter wheel do not write filter data to the fits header. This is done by the acquisition software, using positioning information obtained from the filter wheel, typically combined with labels provided by the user.
My main rig uses NINA and I have just done a quick test loading some old frames for each filter type (lrgbho). I loaded all the data in one go and didn't tell APP anything about the filters amd it all worked fine. Even the Combine RGB tool worked with no problem.
My secondary rig uses an ASIair, but I only use a colour camera with that rig - so my info is second hand and might be less reliable. I understand that you can still enter your own labels for each filter, but I think there is a fairly short space for the label. My guess is that it will be possible to come up with short labels that APP can understand.
If you are using one of these new 'smart' telescopes then I have no idea, but I'd be a bit surprised if it can't be made to work.
One thing to be careful of. Whatever system is used for the lights must also be used for the calibration files, otherwise APP will not be able to correctly match these up without user input.
