May 27 2026 APP 2.0.0-beta45 has been released !

Fully Multi-Threaded LNC, many improvements for the registration engine, platform upgrade, and further tuning of internal memory consumption and memory release back to OS.

Apr 14 2026: Google Pay, Apple Pay & WeChat Pay added as payment options

Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

Hi. I just downloaded the trial version of APP. I have taken some lights, darks, flats and vias frame that I have previously stacked in DSS and stretched in GIMP, to see if I can do a better job in APP.

However, Star Analysis fails every time. There aren't even any settings in the Star Analysis tab to play with, so I'm a bit stuck as to what to do.

Does anyone have some insight into this please? I am happy to post up whatever logs or files are needed to help explain this.

The star analysis algorithm has become very robust on a large variety of data. The next version will be even more so, but usually this isn't a big issue anymore. Can you show me a screenshot of a single sub?

Thanks for the reply. I removed the flats and it worked. Not sure what was up with that.

The flats then have an issue, either something with the calibration or the data is not right.

One trick that seemed to work for me when I encountered that issue earlier, was to set all the parameters on each tab, but instead of going to one tab, process, next tab, process, I simply jumped straight to tab 6 and hit "integrate".

I should also mention that my flats for that session weren't very good so they ultimately were the culprit.
