I'm thinking of getting one of the new full frame CMOS cameras - some like the ASI2600mm have around 60mp.

Just wondered whether anyone is using APP to process the data from one of these cameras and what sort of spec machine is required to handle the huge amount of data involved?

I just began using QHY367c 36 megapixels, no problem with OSC but processing time much longer.

Soo any suggestion to speed up the processing flow?

I'm not an expert and ideally you need to trace the where the bottleneck is in your system, you will probably fix one bottleneck and that will allow you to see the next - its that sort of process.

I would look at RAM first - if you can add more memory, the faster the better subject to what your motherboard will take, that usually helps.

If you are using an HDD consider replacing it with an SSD which is usually easy to do and fairly cheap these days - but make sure you have lots of backups! Depending on your motherboard you may be able to go to M2/NVMe which may be faster than an SSD.

Faster processor - again depending on motherboard you may be able to put a faster processor in.

I'm not sure how much APP uses the graphics card but potentially there is something there that could help.

Solid advice! SSD for sure indeed, loads of ram and a gfx card is a good investment, but more for a future version of APP which is going to use it via Vulkan.
