Is it necessary to save every step?

I just did my second processing and I have been very happy with the results.  This time I did each step manually.  Is it necessary to save after each step, ie for REGISTER, NORMALIZE, etc. before I move on to the next step?  I seems like I ended up with more files written when I did this.

Thanks

It's not no, only when you choose to save them in between.

To expand on Vincent's answer, in general you can go from tab 1 straight to tab 6 and click the Integrate button. All steps in between will be executed automatically and you'll end up with the integration result. If you have loaded raw calibration frames in step 1 then the masters for those will be created and saved automatically as well.

Thanks for the replies.  What I was concerned about was if when walking through manually that the next step required saved images from the previous step.

@seaquel47 As long as you don't shut down APP or load other images, the processed images of the intermediate steps will remain in memory so you can go through the steps one by one if you like.
