Hello everyone,

can I use APP to stack pictures without a light-pollution filter with pictures where i used a light-pollution filter? I have recordings of a complete night with the Iris Nebula (Without any filter), and would like to record a second night with the IDAS LPS-D2 or Optolong L-Pro. Can I then easily stack both next ones together?

The IDAS LPS-D2 has a slight greenish color, but would you still be able to combine it well?

Or is that not a good idea?

Thanks!

That is totally fine yes. 🙂 For narrowband filters you do need to follow a different workflow to combine it with full RGB. Have a look at this one: https://www.astropixelprocessor.com/community/postid/7610/
