Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

Have you seen the new OIII / SII dual band narrowband filter from Altair Astro?

https://www.altairastro.com/altair-sii-oiii--dualband-ultra-4nm-certified-cmos-filter-2x22-w-test-report-13147-p.asp

If I had one of these, would the Extract Ha debayer algorithm extract the Sulphur data?

Hi Daniel, @daniel-tackley

Did not see it yet, thanks for sharing 🙂

Yes, Ha extract would then extract SII.

Also Antlia and Askar released similar products.

Antlia - Hb+Sii

Askar - Oiii+Sii

I am thinking of getting one of them and was wondering about how to separate those channels.

@maxthebuilder Its the same as with Ha/OIII filters: Red channel SII, Blue/green channel: Hb or OIII

I would get the OIII/SII filter, because there you can add integration time to OIII, which is also in the OIII/Ha-filters. Hb is normally just the same as Ha but in blue/green. Dont know why Antlia dont have an OIII/SII filter...
