MAY 4 2026: APP 2.0.0-beta44 has been released !
New improved internal memory controls should now work on all computers
May 1 2026: APP 2.0.0-beta43 has been released !
Improved internal memory controls (much more stable and faster on big datasets), fixed CPU image viewer, fixed Narrowband extraction demosaic algortihms.
Apr 29 2026 APP 2.0.0-beta42 has been released !
New improved Normalization engine, Fixed random crashes in integration, fixed RGB Combine & Calibrate Star Colors, fixed Narrowband extraction algorithms, new development platform with performance gains, bug fixes in the tools, etc...
Apr 14 2026: Google Pay, Apple Pay & WeChat Pay added as payment options
Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual
We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.
Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.
Hi Vincent, in the new beta the preview of I-calibrated does not work. Linear works fine.

When I try to save the frames, nothing happens.
I also tried to activate and deactivate functions, but it did not help.
Ok, thanks for sharing. We will investigate what the issue might be right now.
Hello Vincent, I have uploaded a few frames for testing. The folder is called like the post topic
Maybe this will help. 😉Â
That is great, thanks! I tried it myself on other data and didn't have an issue, but if it show on yours, it'll be addressed for sure. 🙂
Hi @minusman,
I have found the bug, it has to do with conversion to 32bits data since your earlier created MasterDark is 32bits. I will try to fix this with high priority and release an updated beta.
Thanks for sharing this.

Hi @minusman,
Good news, I have fixed the problem 😉 Thank you for sharing the issue, it was quite an important bug to fix. It had to do with my code optimizations to speed things up and it didn't take into account that for Bayer data, a small border needs to be cropped while normalizing to 32bits... so this bug would manifest itself on calibration of Bayer data when the data needs to be normalized to 32bits in the calibration fase.
I will build a new beta installer today and will let you know once available 😉

That looks good, I am looking forward to the new beta version. 😀Â
A question to create Masterflat in the beta.
When I calibrate Masterflats, if I leave the integration on Automatic, is the Blur method used, or is it only available in manual mode?
Hi @minusman,
A new beta is available here with the fix 😉 (log in to get access):

Let me know if all is good now 😉

Hi @minusman,
In the automatic mode, blurring is not applied. If you want to use it, I suggest you use the non-automatic mode.
I recommend to always use median integration for flats, no matter the amount of frames and apply slight outlier rejection -> winsor/adaptive with kappa low 6 and kappa high 3.
Blurring is a bit dangerous, on data with very strong vignetting, it will actually give worse results in terms of flat-field calibration, so for an automatic mode, we really need to disable this.

Hello, Mabula, so it's on now. And APP is now very fast. I have re-processed the IC 342 images on my Ubuntu laptop with classic HDD hard disk and it is a clear performance boost. From calibration to integration everything runs through, without any problems. 🤩 🤩Â
When stretching the integration image, the preview hangs when you move the stretch slider and/or the contrast slider and jump from integration to rejection map. APP must then be restarted.
