May 27 2026 APP 2.0.0-beta45 has been released !

Fully Multi-Threaded LNC, many improvements for the registration engine, platform upgrade, and further tuning of internal memory consumption and memory release back to OS.

Apr 14 2026: Google Pay, Apple Pay & WeChat Pay added as payment options

Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

It would be great if there was a default box size that would be drawn in tools that require it with just a click.  That way, instead of having to manually draw lots of small (and inevitably differently sized) boxes in those tools, a click would just give us a default size box.  A click and drag would still draw a custom size box.  That would save a ton of time processing images with complex light pollution etc ....

Hi @heylers,

Thank you very much for your request. It is however now something that I want to do, because the size of the area select box matters a lot on the actual correction that you will get. Small boxes will produce less good models than big boxes 😉 If there is space, better to draw a big box instead of a small box. Furthermore, placing many small boxes is not the best way to correct any image allthough some videos online would claim otherwise. Finally, best correction will be achieved with an iterative process where you place just 5-6 boxes to start with, click calculate, and then between each calculate afterwards only place 1-2 new boxes, possible remove bad boxes if they turn red and you are not sure if they are placed well. Many images even with complex light pollution can then be corrected with only 20-30 boxes.

If illumination artefacts exist, then only place small boxes on both sides of the artefact to solve it.

Ah. This is why we need that printed manual!

if there’s no “most common” size box, then nevermind 🙂
