Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

Sounds like a similar issue where someone couldn't cancel calibration either: https://www.astropixelprocessor.com/community/main-forum/beta29-bug-canceling-calibration-makes-app-hang/

I think it's a timing issue. If you cancel it at the right point, you can cancel, but if it starts in some loop that will never complete, it can't end that loop.

I have just tried to cancel Normalization after noticing I disabled the reference sub -- the graph implied this was a bad sub, so I didn't think to check if it was a reference sub.

In any case, it just hangs. CPU is maxing out on a single thread for the Java process:

Hi @itarchitectkev,

Thank you very much for reporting this, I will do some testing to see what is happening and if I can fix the behaviour 😉

Hi @itarchitectkev,

I have fixed this issue for 2.0.0-beta38. It was indeed like you indicated, if you disable the reference and start advanced normalization, cancelling would not work and the process could create a stalled application.

Will try to release beta38 in the coming days.
