Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

I have 64Gb RAM so would like to allocate more to APP. Googling suggests I press the CFC button but that doesn't show anything about RAM?

Hi Trevor @woldsweather,

The versions before APP 2.0 had this option in the CFG menu, where you can control the amount of RAM that APP will use as a maximum. The last version that had this option was 1.083.

With APP 2.0 and later, this option has been made redundant. By default, APP will now use 95% of your RAM IF needed. If the amount of RAM that APP uses stays lower than that, it simply indicates that APP does not need more RAM at that moment.
