Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

My images after stacking have started coming out green. This hasn't happened in the 2 years I've had APP. I realise debayering is something to do with it. Is there a setting that has somehow got changed? Is there a reset option somewhere? It has always seemed odd to me there is no menu on the top bar, I don't even know how to start again without quitting and reopening.

@woldsweather Hi this is normal as your sensor has two green pixels per one red and blue, most likely RGGB Matrix. The fix is fortunately super easy and you have two options for it:

1: to avoid it during the stacking process, just activate under 5) the option for "neutralize background" and your issues should be fixed.

2: if you missed the option and the picture is already stacked, simply go to "Tools" and select "Calibrate Background"

Good luck! 🙂

I tried your option before stacking and got my purple image. I then tried calibrate the backgound and got the black and white image.
