Mar 28 2026 APP 2.0.0-beta40 will be released in 7 days.
It did take a long time to have the work finished on this and it will have a major performance boost of 30-50% over 2.0.0-beta39 from calibration to integration. We extensively optimized many critical parts of APP. All has been tested to guarantee correct optimizations. Drizzle and image resampling is much faster for instance, those modules have been completely rewritten. Much less memory usage. LNC 2.0 will be released which works much better and faster than LNC in it's current state. And more, all will be added to the release notes in the coming weeks...
Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual
We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.
Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

I've had this a few times.
After a few hours of stacking etc theres no picture displayed
DSS still works but I like APP
Any thoughts?

@paul-grace Can you share a screenshot of this situation please? Perhaps you can reproduce the situation by only integrating, say, 5 lights, darks, flats and dark flats to speed up the integration process? Is the image actually saved to your hard drive? If yes, does it show up in the files list at the bottom of APP? If yes, does it show when you double click the file in that list?

maybe i've pressed a button...i may uninstall and reinstall 🙂
@paul-grace Please post a screenshot of the APP window here so we can see what's going on. There is no need to reinstall APP, I assure you!
A thought occurred. Are you processing data on an external HD (not SSD)? If yes then that probably is the problem. Please move the data to the internal disk of your computer and try again. Also, does APP have the correct rights to write data into the working directory that you select? And are you *sure* that the image doesn't get saved to the working directory?

Its a time issue... a lot of time is wasted to get nothing viewing....going to reinstall the latest version and try again 🙂
Reinstalled the latest version and still nothing in the image viewer...i have no idea now

However you write "nothing but an auto saved file". That's the file I mentioned in my initial post. If in the file list at the bottom of the APP window you scroll all the way down, does the file show up there? If yes, did you double click it to open it in APP? Sorry if you have already answered that. I am currently traveling.Â
