Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual
We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.
Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

Just got APP and have now tried to do 2x2 mosaic of Sadr area.
I have now got better results than first tries but still have one corner which have bad stars.
Have made the following changes:
3) Analyze
-> 5000
4) Register
- pattern - quadrilaterals
- use dynamic distortion correction
6) integrate
- LNC - 1st degree - 3 LNC iterations
- enable MBB - 10%
Outlier rejection
filter - MAD sigma clip - kappa 3 - 1 iterations
Registration mode is normal.

Some other questions:
1. Can you load all channels (say LRGB or HaOIIIS2) and register them and make mosaic all of them in one go ?
2. Can you save the settings ?

Registration mode should be set to advanced, does that make a difference?
1. Not completely, usually people tend to run into memory issues, besides that you would need to separately tweak the narrow-band images before combining them with RGB and then assign the narrow band data to R,G or B.
2. Not yet, Mabula is working on precisely that.
After numerous experiments I think I found a way to produce a whole mosaic.
I think this made a difference:
6) integrate
weights - star shape
integrate - median
Now I still have
4) Register
- pattern - triangles
Could try with the 'normal' setting
Still not happy with one corner and would be happy if someone could help me fix this.
Frankly, I made some previous mosaic attempts with more crude methods (even using Microsoft ICE) and got better stars.

Have checked original files and they look ok to me.
Have you used the advanced option already when making the mosaic?

One person tried them and was able to produce perfect mosaic but only if he first stacked individual panels first and then made a mosaic of them.
If that works then why not in one go ?
I have no idea. 🙂 I will download a few and have a look.
