Beta 2.0: Option fo...

Mar 28 2026 APP 2.0.0-beta40 will be released in 7 days.

It did take a long time to have the work finished on this and it  will have a major performance boost of 30-50% over 2.0.0-beta39 from calibration to integration. We extensively optimized many critical parts of APP. All has been tested to guarantee correct optimizations. Drizzle and image resampling is much faster for instance, those modules have been completely rewritten. Much less memory usage. LNC 2.0 will be released which works much better and faster than LNC in it's current state. And more, all will be added to the release notes in the coming weeks...

Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

I've been testing the new beta 2.0 and so far I like it a lot!  I like the flexibility with being able to create separate windows for the frame lists and the image viewer.  Would it be possibly to also add the option to separate the log/console output?

My preferred setup would be to have the image viewer in the center, and having the console/log output on a separate monitor.  Thanks, I really appreciate the continued work going into improving APP.

@alexdaryan Hi Sikander,

Thank you for the suggestion. I have passed it on to Mabula.

Please, please, Mabula leave the GUI as it was in the 1.083...

Expecially the console/header output...It always appears as soon as I do something in the tab 9 tools: even if I always hide it before...So annoying...

Senza titolo

Return to  the previous GUI, thanks

Hi Sikander @alexdaryan,

I will add the option to the CFG menu also to choose the general console output to attach/detach from the main window 😉

Dear @ippiu,

I have implemented it like that because you need to see the tool console output. I will add an option to CFG menu so you can choose to have that tool console to stay hidden or to forcely show like now 😉

Hello Mabula, is it possible to reintroduce the separate console window from previous versions. It had a lot more information to offer. As an example, when calibrating frames, you had information about adaptive sockets, or how many hot pixels were detected, etc. Now it is displayed that a frame is being saved. That's a little bit of information. Please reintroduce the verbose console window.
