In preparing for my first attempt at a six panel mosaic I have been reviewing Mabula's 7 part mosaic tutorial. Part two at the 11 minute mark shows a star analysis menu that has more options than I see in version 1.081. All I see is the automatic #stars check box and a slider. Has the menu changed or is there an additional step required to access the other options?

That has changed a bit yes, those options are now automatically performed in the background. Setting that slider to about 2000 stars is all you need to do.
