May 27 2026 APP 2.0.0-beta45 has been released !

Fully Multi-Threaded LNC, many improvements for the registration engine, platform upgrade, and further tuning of internal memory consumption and memory release back to OS.

Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

Hello,

when I try to load my flats with a MD file as a MasterDarkFlat (so same gain/temp/exposure as the flats) APP gives a error message that it can only calibrate with a dark with the same gain/temp/exposure.... However my MD is the same gain/temp/exp as the flats, so why can't I load them as a MDF? Does APP use a different algorithm for the MDF than for the MD? Or is there a way to use the same files?

Cheers,

Michel

A masterdark with the exposure length of a flat seems odd, flats are usually taken at about a second of exposure time, I guess you don’t need a MD that short? It should be possible to use as masterdarkflat, did you load them as dark flats?

@vincent-mod

my flats are 3sec (with flat panel). And I do have masterdarks with 3 secs. I did try to load it as a MDF but it will put it in the MasterDark folder instead.
