Astro pixel Process...

Mar 28 2026 APP 2.0.0-beta40 will be released in 7 days.

It did take a long time to have the work finished on this and it  will have a major performance boost of 30-50% over 2.0.0-beta39 from calibration to integration. We extensively optimized many critical parts of APP. All has been tested to guarantee correct optimizations. Drizzle and image resampling is much faster for instance, those modules have been completely rewritten. Much less memory usage. LNC 2.0 will be released which works much better and faster than LNC in it's current state. And more, all will be added to the release notes in the coming weeks...

Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

As a newbe to Astro Pixel Pro I installed Mac version 1.083.2 and everything was woking fine. Spent the day yesterday working through various tutorials to get up to speed. However last night my Mac updated to Mac OS Ventura 13.0, and now Astro Pixel Pro won't load. Has anyone else had this issue and is there a workaround please? Any thoughts.

Hi Tony
The same thing for me. I found a workaround by installing macOS x86_64 2.0.0-beta6 which works fine with Ventura.
Best regards.

Thanks for the heads-up. So I understand that the latest beta also doesn't start using the M1 installer @jmd67650 ?

Jean-Mark, Once again many thanks for the info, deleted 1.083.2 and installed 2.0 beta, and all is good again. Now to continue with the tutorials 🙂

@agbell005 Did you use the M1 or x64 installer?

Thanks, we will look into this then as the M1 installer provides a way faster experience on M1 chips.

Hi all,

We think that we might have a fixed Astro Pixel Processor version for macOS Ventura. Can you all try the following 2.0.0-beta7test version and let us know if this solves it and works properly?

intel hardware:

https://astropixelprocessor.s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com/astropixelprocessor_2.0.0-beta7test-x86_64-macOS.zip

new M1/M2/arm hardware:

https://astropixelprocessor.s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com/astropixelprocessor_2.0.0-beta7test-aarch64-macOS.zip

Release notes for this version:

Looking forward to your feedback!

Mabula
