15th Feb 2024: Astro Pixel Processor 2.0.0-beta29 released - macOS native File Chooser, macOS CMD-Q fixed, read-only Fits on network fixed and other bug fixes
7th December 2023: added payment option Alipay to purchase Astro Pixel Processor from China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Korea, Japan and other countries where Alipay is used.
The data was downloaded from here https://www.roboscopes.com/ , a robotic observatory located in Spain with Bortle 2/3 skies.
The data comprised Ha 20x600s, R 12x900s, G 9x900s, B 12x900s, 20 darks, 20 bias and 10 flats for each filter. Equipment was a Takahashi FSQ106ED and QSI 683ws CCD camera.
A synthetic luminance frame was created using the tutorial here (thanks Diego):
https://www.astropixelprocessor.com/hargb-tutorial-by-diego-colonnello/
The data was processed as Session 1 RGB and Session 2 Ha. All defaults were used with the following additions:
- Create Bad Pixel Map (calibration)
- DDC enabled (registration)
- 1st degree LNC selected (integration)
- MBB enabled (integration)
The Ha, R, G and B stacks were combined to create a synthetic L frame.
The R, G, B , L & Ha stacks were combined, with the following slider adjustments made:
- R X -> 1.5
- R R -> 100%
- L X -> 1.5
- Ha X -> 1.5
- Ha R -> 100%
I have included the processed Ha stack.
Thanks to Brian (@oopfan) for his help & suggestions with processing.

Very nice Dave, the first one seems a bit uneven in the background. Did you use LP correction in APP?
Thanks Vincent. I had another go at the LP correction and framing after a couple of watches of the new Christian Sasse video. This is an area of processing that I am not yet comfortable with. I will keep working on it.

Oh excellent! I think this version is a lot better already. Nice. 🙂
