Mar 28 2026 APP 2.0.0-beta40 will be released in 7 days.
It did take a long time to have the work finished on this and it will have a major performance boost of 30-50% over 2.0.0-beta39 from calibration to integration. We extensively optimized many critical parts of APP. All has been tested to guarantee correct optimizations. Drizzle and image resampling is much faster for instance, those modules have been completely rewritten. Much less memory usage. LNC 2.0 will be released which works much better and faster than LNC in it's current state. And more, all will be added to the release notes in the coming weeks...
Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual
We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.
Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.
Please excuse me immediately, but I downloaded the sw. I followed the tutorial for the first procedures, but I still see the image in black and white and I can't find where to add all the images and then how can I transform the bayer image into color?
Thanks...
It's simple... before ''1)LOAD'' you check on ''0)RAW/FIT'' and MAKE-CHECK ''force Bayer CFA''.
Thanks Stojang, I did it. I think APP is great for preparing the final file. I do not find how to export the file, as well as in FIT and (I finish) the palettes of steps go from 6 to 9 ... and 7 and 8?!? Or rightly so (I use it with Apple).
When step 6 finishes a new file is created on disk and it will show up at the bottom of the file list. Double click it to open it in the viewer. Then click the Save button in the upper right of APP and you'll get a few popups that allow you to specify the file name and the output format.
Please note that APP generates images with a linear histogram. When you export those images and open them in an external viewer, the images very likely will be (almost) completely black. The histogram needs to be stretched first and this can be achieved by ticking the Stretch check box to the left of the Save button.

Good!!! There are almost ... when (to which passage) and where can I ask the sw to eliminate the noise and make the background more homogeneous? After this I promise that for today I don't bother anymore. Thanks
