May 27 2026 APP 2.0.0-beta45 has been released !
Fully Multi-Threaded LNC, many improvements for the registration engine, platform upgrade, and further tuning of internal memory consumption and memory release back to OS.
Apr 14 2026: Google Pay, Apple Pay & WeChat Pay added as payment options
Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual
We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.
Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.
Analyse Stars was failing with an Error: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException  -- cause: null  no stack trace.
The frame it was failing on is blank (all white pixels), obviously an error to include, but you may want to catch this error.
Thanks!

Hi Rowland @rowland-f-archer-jr,
Thank you for sharing this problem. I will make sure to catch this properly in the upcoming APP version 1.060 😉

Hi Rowland @rowland-f-archer-jr,
The issue is found and will be properly fixed in APP 1.060 😉
Thank you again for pointing this out.
Kind regards,
Mabula
Thanks Mabula - really looking forward 1.060 - and hoping that multi-channel processing (i.e. like PI's BPP) will follow soon after 🙂 ! Â

Thank you Rowland @rowland-f-archer-jr,
APP 1.060 will have a complete new data calibration engine including dark-scaling. This upgrade was needed for several reasons. One which is to prepare APP internally for making multi-channel & multi-session processing fully automatic 😉
So, APP will soon have those capabilities 😉 The work on APP 1.060 should be finished in a week or so.
The new data calibration engine will warn users in case of incomplete and/or sub-optimal calibration paths and it will automatically match masterframes to light and flat frames.
Black clipping in bias and dark calibration combinations will also no longer happen.
So a lot of improvements are in store soon 😉

That sounds great! I have data ready to throw at it 🙂 !
