Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

Astro Pixel Processor 2.0.0-beta17 release notes

  • FIXED RAW processing (Canon,Nikon, Sony etc), camera color matrix applied correctly with Bayer/X-Trans Drizzle integration

In 2.0.0-beta15 we introduced processing of camera RAW files using the camera color matrix. Now, this also works properly with Bayer/X-Trans Drizzle integration enabled. The CFA pixels that are used for Bayer/X-Trans Drizzle itnegration are now also corrected with the camera color matrix. To be able to do this, we do internally demosaic the data so we have the R,G,B values for each pixel and thus the camera color matrix can work with correct values for each pixel. As a final step the camera color matrix corrected CFA pixels are the only ones send to the integration engine for Bayer/X-Trans Drizzle integration as expected.

  • FIXED image viewer issues

As reported here: https://www.astropixelprocessor.com/community/main-forum/problem-with-the-image-viewer-with-the-new-2023-04-05-app-2-0-0-beta15/ beta 15 and 16 had some problems with the image viewer causing a black image viewer with odd scrollbars. This issue should be fixed now. The issue could occur ofter processing of the data or in/after a tool.
