Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual
We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.
Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.
Hi. Â I have been trying to test the Star Reducer tool in the APP Beta Version 1.083 but I keep getting an error message that "APP has run out of available memory". Â My Mac has 32 GB of RAM and I have tried ramping up the available portion for APP to as much as 20 GB... still no go. Am I doing something wrong or is this a glitch of sorts?
I have attached JPG screen shots of the full error message as well as the APP processing screen.
Thanks for any guidance on this. Â 🙂
Â
@iseidman This is a known issue in 1.083-beta2 and Mabula is working on a fix for it.
Hi Wouter. Thanks for the update.  I will keep an eye out for the next release.  🙂
I've used the star reducer very successfully on two target images but today I'm working on one that has a significantly higher number of stars and the reducer process used the limit I assigned of 56GB of ram. I can take it up to 63GB on my system with 64gb but not sure that will work either.
Similar issue I think, Mabula knows about the memory issue. It indeed doesn't always happen.
