May 27 2026 APP 2.0.0-beta45 has been released !

Fully Multi-Threaded LNC, many improvements for the registration engine, platform upgrade, and further tuning of internal memory consumption and memory release back to OS.

Apr 14 2026: Google Pay, Apple Pay & WeChat Pay added as payment options

Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

My question: Does the rotation of the calibration images have a negative effect on the stacking process?

I shoot with a Sony DSLM and in the calibration images some are in portrait mode and some in landscape.

Many thanks

Hi, I moved your question to a topic, you can create a topic by going to the forum of choice (like "general") and then on top there is a button "add topic".

So, rotation doesn't influence stacking, APP will register the frames and detect the rotation. If that doesn't work for any reason, you can select "flip descriptors in X/Y" in tab 4.

great, thanks for the help Vincent,

a question I still have there, in my posting I noticed that my nickname is displayed, this is a bit embarrassing, can I delete or change this?

I'm really sorry for taking your time for something like that

haha no worries, I removed it. 🙂 It's fine really as many have different handles like that. Not sure if you can change that, do you want to do that?

Hi Vincent,

honestly... spookytomato is my gamer tag when in playing Battlefield, I don't know what I was thinking when I entered that name.

But yes, I would like to change it if there is a possibility.

just take my real name, Francesco Galizia, that makes me feel a bit more grown up here in the forum 🤣 .

Thanks again

That's totally fine, I changed it (you can also do this yourself when you go to your own profile).

Oh that's great! I did it yesterday as well but an error cropped up afterwards trying to access your profile. Anyway, glad it did work this time. 🙂
