I am new to APP. I am working on bicolor (HA and OII) image of NGC 7000. The initial process up to integration worked flawlessly and was much simpler than Pixinsight. Both HA and OII images looked great. I then tried to use RGB combine by properly loading the images and assigning them to proper channels. First I assigned 100% red to HA and 100% blue to OII and tried calculating I got solid color image. No matter whatever combination of percentages I used I am still getting a solid color image. Histogram looked shifted all the way to right. Not sure what I am doing wrong. I tried to reinstall the program but no change. Also tried to use previous HA and OII images of Crescent nebula processed in APP that worked fine before with the earlier version of APP and they don't seem to work now. Please help.
Thanks
Avinash
As a followup trying to insert link that shows screenshots of individual HA and OII images and failed RGB combine

It seems to be working fine now. I restored the computer to last week's date and reinstall APP and does seem to work fine. Please ignore my earlier messages. Sorry for the earlier post.
No worries, my apologies for not coming back to this a bit sooner. It is a bit weird that a reinstall/restore of a backup fixed the issue, almost sounds like it was a library problem of some sorts. Thanks a lot for letting us know as it's always valuable information! (@mabula-admin)
I am also experiencing this issue with version 1.071.
Aha, figured out what I was doing wrong: the L sliders needed to be something other than 0. That wasn't shown in some of the tutorials I've seen; did that behavior change?
I apologize for resurrecting an old thread but this symptom seems to match an issue I'm having on 1.075. I am processing bicolor Ha+OIII from OSC+L-enhance filter, and after clearing/closing APP and loading/registering my 2 master frames I have issues on the RGB Combine tool. If I use only 2 frames, I get solid color previews unless the L slider is non-zero. However, if I click Create, the saved image looks as expected, so the issue seems to only affect previewing after clicking Calculate. I can work on the image by creating a saved file after every adjustment and opening it to view, but this is very tedious.
I notice that if I use all 3 channels instead of doing pure bicolor, the solid color issue seems to go away and I do get a preview image. If any R/G/B slider is zero, the preview looks like a solid color of a mix of the 2 non-zero slider values. I am just now trying to learn a workflow for processing multichannel from OSC so I can't discount that I may be doing something incorrectly.
Hello
In my expierience with RGB combine, both the L sliders are at zero, but the green and blue sliders for OIII should BOTH be set at some number other than zero! I saw a video tutorial where the green and blue were set at 85 and 80 respectively.
Regards Dave
After playing with it more, I see that I can't have any RGB channel at 0%, apparently bicolor (with one of the RGB channels empty/black) isn't possible. After finding examples for processing HOO I think I see how it's done and will continue to play with it. I'm switching to a mono camera for LRGB and SHO data soon but do enjoy going back to my OSC data and reprocessing it in new ways, that's mainly how I'm evaluating APP during my trial period. 🙂
