APP creates a file of about 8gb and cannot load it into the lp tool...

and claims it needs more than 28gb here, for 8gb!, which does not work, see above. And 32gb will not solve this problem I guess ...

@elgol Hi,

APP uses all but 2 Gb of the available memory. If you want to increase memory for APP, you'll need to run APP on a computer with more memory.

then the text of APP is misleading 😉 . Still, a 8gb file should work. It can be loaded but not further processed...

Hi @elgol,

In the new 2.0.0-beta releases, you can no longer adjust the application RAM amount and no longer need to. I will make sure that the misleading warning from the old pre 2.0 versions is removed.

We have on our ToDo list that loading large files like this will become easier in terms of RAM amount needed. For now, that image will only be processed in APP with more RAM I am afraid. This issue has been there for quite a while and it will be fixed once we develop a new preview filter which is responsible for this behaviour.
