Why is the integrated image have distortion like fisheye lens, as opposed to just being a normal rectangular image? I believe I used all the default settings for star analysis and registration, with "distortion correction" and "same camera and optics" checked.

Hi Maxim @mseningmail-com,

In this case, distortion correction is not needed and should be turned off, you trigger a bug in our registration engine. The optical distortion correction can have a mathematical instability on data that really does not need it. So turn it off and all should be okay 😉

We will fix this going forward 😉

Thanks, @mabula-admin, I already figured it out. I wonder if it's related to stars with coma and minor tilt at the edges so that APP computes PSF of the edge stars and tries to correct for it as if it were a fisheye lens or something with astigmatism. Thanks anyway.
