Mar 28 2026 APP 2.0.0-beta40 will be released in 7 days.

It did take a long time to have the work finished on this and it  will have a major performance boost of 30-50% over 2.0.0-beta39 from calibration to integration. We extensively optimized many critical parts of APP. All has been tested to guarantee correct optimizations. Drizzle and image resampling is much faster for instance, those modules have been completely rewritten. Much less memory usage. LNC 2.0 will be released which works much better and faster than LNC in it's current state. And more, all will be added to the release notes in the coming weeks...

Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

I purchased a renter's license one week ago (Order 50617). Despite 2 posts in this forum, and 2 emails to Support, I have not received my license code. I checked my spam folder many times, and it is not there either. I have received no replies from Support.

PLEASE provide me with my license code!!!

Edwin, I wish you good luck. Hope that Vincent see your post and send your licence code to you. He sometimes look despite his situation intop this forum.

As I wrote 3 month ago ( https://www.astropixelprocessor.com/community/topicid/5128/), I'm still concerned about APP. I have some friends also dealing with astrophotography, and I told them about the (in my opinion) very good Astropixelprocessor. But in the meantime I can not recommend to buy a licence due to the lack of attention to new customers!

I really dont know why there is no clarification from Mabulas side. One comment in 6 month...

It should be automatic, like so many other eCommerce sites. Once it registers that they received your payment, the license code should be sent by return email.

I have NO idea what's going on with Mabula's prolonged absence, but he did respond to someone else's license issue about a month ago, when addressed directly in a post: @mabula-admin

I was going to purchase astropixelprocessor but I think I will pass for now. This software is not cheap and this lack of customer service is not acceptable, life happens but the developers need to just communicate what is going on. If I purchase this and hear nothing for that long I'd reverse the charge on my credit card.

I completely agree. I have sent a couple of support emails inquiring about a promo code that should be valid but is not going through and have received no response at all. I would have bought the license regardless because based on my usage during the trial period I really enjoyed using APP. However, for the price I am not willing to take a risk on a software package that is this costly if there is no customer support. I mean none. No reply. Is APP still under development? It feels like a risky investment? :(((( I hope I'm wrong.
