May 27 2026 APP 2.0.0-beta45 has been released !

Fully Multi-Threaded LNC, many improvements for the registration engine, platform upgrade, and further tuning of internal memory consumption and memory release back to OS.

Apr 14 2026: Google Pay, Apple Pay & WeChat Pay added as payment options

Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

I'm having my first go at using APP for a Milky Way panorama - 10sub x 8 panels - using the new beta 22 release. I followed my usual workflow to integrate the individual panels to create 8 FITS files - and then the APP Forum suggested Mosaic setting to combine the 8 panels. It seems to all work - expect the registration process errors off (see error message). I also tired it using a 1 RAW sub x 8 panels - and got the same error. I know 8Gb is small - but I haven't had problems in the past with normal integration of 200 subs. Suggestions?

It may be that you're indeed running into a memory issue, a mosaic takes up a lot more memory than regular integrations. Beta 22 already reduced its memory footprint a lot and we're always working to get it lower, but there will always be limits to the system. We do know there is an issue with restriction for huge mosaics and memory, we're going to address that as well, but I suspect in your case you're hitting a hard limit.
