15th Feb 2024: Astro Pixel Processor 2.0.0-beta29 released - macOS native File Chooser, macOS CMD-Q fixed, read-only Fits on network fixed and other bug fixes
7th December 2023: added payment option Alipay to purchase Astro Pixel Processor from China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Korea, Japan and other countries where Alipay is used.
I keep getting the attached error when trying to register a high resolution version of this 4 x 1 mosaic (draft uncalibrated version attached which worked ok)
I've tried a heap of different settings.
Does anyone have any suggestions ?
(the computer is plenty powerful by the way with 56GB allocated to APP)
Thanks, Kelvin
Thanks for letting us know! If you could upload those frames to our server I can let Mabula know about it, seems like a possible software bug, thanks for notifying!
Go to https://upload.astropixelprocessor.com and use upload1 as username and upload1 as password.
Create a directory named “kelvin-hennessey-mosaicfailure” and upload in there. Thank you!
@vincent-mod ok they are uploading now but will take a long time as they are between 250 and 350MB each. I'll notify once complete
Thanks Kevin, I might not be able to process them myself even so I'll also notify Mabula when done. 😉
@kelvin-hennessy Hi Kelvin, great data and beautiful mosaic. What I did is:
- tab 3:
- set the number of stars to 3000
- tab 4:
- set the patter to triangles
- scale start 5
- scale stop 15
- enable dynamic distortion correction
- disable same camera and optics
- set registration mode to mosaic
- tab 5:
- set mode to advanced
- tab 6:
- enable MBB and set it to 15%
- hit the INTEGRATE button
@wvreeven I still get the same error. I'll try restarting the computer and reloading from scratch - I may have changed other settings in my various attempts
@kelvin-hennessy The defaults are not saved when closing APP so no need to restart the computer. Is your data on the internal HD of the computer or are you using an external HD?
@wvreeven restarting APP (and the computer) fixed the problem. I hadnt restarted in a while and I only had 60GB free disk space - plus had been doing a lot of integrations. Maybe I experienced memory creep. I'll be redoing it all from scratch again soon once I get more data for the Omega region so it will be interesting to see if it happens again. Here's the draft result which I'm very pleased with
