Mar 28 2026 APP 2.0.0-beta40 will be released in 7 days.
It did take a long time to have the work finished on this and it will have a major performance boost of 30-50% over 2.0.0-beta39 from calibration to integration. We extensively optimized many critical parts of APP. All has been tested to guarantee correct optimizations. Drizzle and image resampling is much faster for instance, those modules have been completely rewritten. Much less memory usage. LNC 2.0 will be released which works much better and faster than LNC in it's current state. And more, all will be added to the release notes in the coming weeks...
Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual
We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.
Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

Heb een ZWO 2600MC en de ZWO 294mc en beide kleuren camera's. Met de nieuwste versie van APP krijg ik na het stapelen van lights,darks, flat of bias een zwart wit foto en idem dito ook met de vorige versie. Met alles laden klik ik op 0 en zet het op RBBG en bij Algorithm No interpolation. Dan Intergrate en nadat alles is gestapeld is er geen kleur te zien en met APP bewerken krijg ik de melding dat het niet mogelijk is met een zw foto!! Ik doe wat verkeerd en wie kan een advies geven alstublieft? Alvast hartelijk bedankt.

I have a ZWO 2600MC and the 294MC, both OSC/color camera's. With the latest APP version I get a black and white/monochrome image, also with previous versions. When I have loaded all lights and calibration data, i set the Bayer pattern to RBBG in 0) RAW/FITS and I set the bayer algorithm to No interpolation. Once integrated, there is no color, what am I doing wrong?

Omdat je het algoritme op no interpolation zet, krijg je een zwart wit foto. Dat is precies de bedoeling. Het no interpolation algoritme zorgt ervoor dat APP juist niet de kleuren gaat maken. Dus om de kleuren te krijgen laat je het algoritme het best op de default staat van Adaptive Airy Disc, dan moet je een correct kleuren resultaat krijgen. Ik hoor graag of het probleem daarmee is opgelost?

Because you have set the algorithm to no interpolation, you will get a monochrome/black&white result. That is expected behaviour with the no interpolation setting, i will treat the data as being monochrome. So to get a correct color result, it will be better to use the default demosaic algorithm of Adaptive Airy Disc. Then you will get a color result. Please let me know it this solves the issue.
