Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual
We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.
Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.
Hi,
I'm just trying and learnig making photos and working with APP- Today I worked with my last photos, put them into APP, started the process like I always did, but the photo after the complete process is red. Red stars in the whole picture.
any ideas what went wrong?
Pic is just a quick jpg to clarify what I mean

@zavijah Hi! What calibration frames do you use? Do you get the same result if you integrate the lights without any calibration frames at all? What version of APP do you use?
@wvreeven Hi and many thanks for your answer. I'm using APP with the standard configuration. Never changed anything, so also in the step 2 "calibration". I can't try again with skipping the step calibration, cause I've deleted all the pictures and have to take new pics. It depends on the weather when I will be able to shoot any new pics...
So youre suggestion is to skip calibration?
I'm using Version 1.082, but tried the 1.083beta yesterday with the same result.
Like Wouter mentioned, are you using any calibration data?
@vincent-mod sorry, but what do you mean? I load the lights, sometimes I have darks and the I go step by step through APP. 1-2-3 and so on and I have had never such a result
I mean, normally you'd have a selection of bias or darkflats, flats, darks to calibrate the data. It could be that calibration data is causing an issue or a wrong settings somewhere. Just to get an idea what you used here.
@vincent-mod I'm mostly (99%) using only the lights as in this actual case.

Ok, so then the question will be, does it look normal when you load just a single light in the preview? And are the gain and offset set properly (you can see this in the FITS header)? Is the mosaic pattern correct in tab 0?
@vincent-mod
Yes a single light looked normal as it should be. Every single light looked absolutely normal.
I can't check the fits header cause I deleted all lights 🙄
Oh that's a pitty. Next time you can upload your lights to our server, if the check on the headers doesn't reveal anything weird. We will then investigate what might be the issue.
@vincent-mod yes, it was a mistake to delete all the pictures at this early stage of investigation.
I will give it a try as soon as possible, depends on the weather, and will come back to you again with the results
