Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

Last night it was M33's turn. About 3h of data with a ASI294, Skywatcher 150pds, NEQ6, and a lot of cables and support equipment. Dark, flats and BPM added. Just waiting for my dual band filter to see what else i can add to this picture.

Let me know what to improve.

Cheers,

Michel

Michel, I love the color in your image! Do you have the color or the mono version of the ASI294? If mono then what LRGB filters did you use?

@oopfan

Thanks! I have the color version, so that was the easy part😉 only filter was the UV block filter. I will add some HA/OIII when the clouds move again, just to see if it improves the details a bit.

cheers

Thanks, Michel, that explains the superb color balance. If you don't mind, may I ask what is the Bortle number of your skies? Just from experience it looks to be Bortle 5 or better. One last question, what exposure did you use? Sorry for all the questions.
