June 24 2026 APP 2.0.0-beta46 has been released !

Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

I'm working on a 4-panel mosaic of the Dark Doodad using OSC

Doodad faulty mosaic St

iTelescope T69. The left two panels are OK, but they're sharply divided from the right two panels, which are darker, have a different color balance and are of overall poorer quality. I haven't been able to process out the differences into a smooth background without gradients. I've used APP's MBB and LP correction and PI's ABE and DBE without success. Any ideas of what other approaches would help with this problem? Thanks!

Since you mentioned PI processes, I guess it would ok to suggest that you use PI's LinearFit on the master panels to equalize their brightness before stitching them together.  I don't know what the equivalent process would be in APP, maybe Normalize.

@daveco2 Aha!  Of course that would help.  Many thanks!  I only mentioned using PI processes to illustrate the difficulty I was having.  😏
