New improved Normalization engine, Fixed random crashes in integration, fixed RGB Combine & Calibrate Star Colors, fixed Narrowband extraction algorithms, new development platform with performance gains, bug fixes in the tools, etc...

Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

Many of us use multiple algorithms ("algorithm" in the "0) RAW/FITS" tab). For example, I often use the "Ha-Oiii extract Ha", "Ha-Oiii extract Oiii", and Ha-Oiii mono" algorithms on the same set of data.

It would be great to change the algorithms pull-down menu into a series of check boxes. That way, you could start multiple algorithm extractions with one command. Yes - it may take a lot longer. But, you would not have to return to the computer to start the new algorithm extraction.

For example, I would like to choose the three Ha-Oiii algorithms, start APP, and have APP create three integrations with the same set of data.

Hi Daniel,

That’s a nice suggestion indeed. I’ll keep it in mind for future GUI changes, that will take quite some time still though. Thanks for the suggestion!
