UPDATE FROM MABULA
I have had a very rough 2 months unfortunately health wise. I was struck 3x in a row with bacterial infections. The second infection occurred  after a routine hospital checkup and I became very sick. I had to rest and take a lot of antibiotics. Once I was recovering and restarting work 1 month ago, I again became sick. The infection was not yet gone, so even more antibiotics and rest was needed. Needless to say, it took a lot of my energy and I needed a lot of rest.
Finally, the infection is really gone and my energy is coming back step-by-step now and I have started work again. I am terribly sorry to have kept you waiting for support. I will address all outstanding questions and e-mails step-by step and will be on the forum daily from today.
APP 2.0.0-beta47 will come soon as well, a lot of work was already completed before I became very ill, so the release is also nearly ready for you. Beta47 will be much faster actually. Many workflows will be more than 2x faster, mosaics can even be 10x faster than before because registration really received a major boost... all compared to beta46. Â Before I release it, I will make sure that everything is working properly and then I will release it.
Astro Pixel Processor 2.0.0-beta30 release notes
- UPDATED DEVELOPMENT PLATFORM to Oracle GraalVM 23.0.1
We have updated the development platform from GraalVM 21.0.2. to 23.0.1. This should solve stability issues on the latest operating systems like on Windows 11 where some users reported instability.
- UPDATED JavaFX to 23.0.1
Needed for the support of the native File Chooser dialogs. The File Choosers are the same as in beta29.
- UPDATED FITS support
We have updated the 3rd party library for READ/WRITE FITS support to nom.tam.fits 1.20.2
- IMPROVED Analytical Chart with annotation of the reference frame and image viewer frame
The analytical charts of the dataset will now clearly show which frame is the reference frame (REF) for registration and normalization. It will also show which frame is currently loaded into the image viewer with the new mark VIEW. The VIEW mark will also be shown in the frame list now.
Â
Â
- IMPROVED Analytical Chart, double clicking on a point in the graph
will load that image directly into the image viewer with the current image viewer mode (raw/calibrated/registered/normalized/starmap)
- FIXED fast startup for computers with little amount of cpu cores
As reported in this topic https://www.astropixelprocessor.com/community/windows/problem-starting-program/#post-30162 the new fast startup of Astro Pixel Processor was sometimes not working well on computers with only 2 or 4 cpu threads. This is fixed and it will still work with only 1 cpu thread in the system.
- FIXED histogram zoom disabled
It was possible to mouse click on the image histogram and lasso part of the histogram to zoom in. This is no longer possible because it does not really serve a purpose, only creates a weird graph.
