Mar 28 2026 APP 2.0.0-beta40 will be released in 7 days.
It did take a long time to have the work finished on this and it will have a major performance boost of 30-50% over 2.0.0-beta39 from calibration to integration. We extensively optimized many critical parts of APP. All has been tested to guarantee correct optimizations. Drizzle and image resampling is much faster for instance, those modules have been completely rewritten. Much less memory usage. LNC 2.0 will be released which works much better and faster than LNC in it's current state. And more, all will be added to the release notes in the coming weeks...
Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual
We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.
Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.
Hi team,
since a few weeks I'm experiencing a slow application start up.
After starting APP, the first row of the console output is display, then APP hang's for about 1 minute. During this the image window (I have it set to open in a separate window) is shown, but header of the window is white (i.e. not reacting).
After one minute console output is continuing and APP is ready.
Attached a screenshot of the console output where we see a pause of 1 minute between 08:05:10 and 08:06:14
I saw this in beta26 for the first time and it's still there in beta29.
Any ideas?
I'm running Windows10 (22H2) on a Lenovo P71 laptop-workstation.

This looks like a problem with OpenGL initialization then. Please check if your graphical drivers are up-to-date and installed correctly. Microsoft has a habit to install wrong graphical drivers by itself causing issues like this. Make sure that Windows did not install graphical drivers and use the the correct drivers from Lenovo.
Please let me know if this solves the issue.

I updated the driver to the latest driver from NVIDIAs Homepage, but unfortunately that did solve the issue. Same ~1 min delay during startup.

new update: yesterday and today APP starts without noticable delay. Seems that the issue not really repeatable or is depending on something else. Anyway, I think no issue anymore where you need to spent time on.
