Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

I just downloaded the lastest download 2.0.0 beta26 for windows 64. I've been running APP for years. I downloaded the release, unzipped it and installed it. When it launched, It now asks me for my name and license info.  I don't recall it doing this on previous releases.  Is it supposed to do this? Either way it looks like I need my license info so how do I get that?

Thanks

James

@nitesky I was able to salvage the ssd drive from the laptop and bought a external case for it and have it hooked up to the new laptop but i can`t seem to get it running from there , i even looked through everything for the key with no luck ...getting all the astro programs and settings back on a new laptop are a pain , but on a good note pixinsight got my key back within 5 mins.

Look through your old emails by searching for astropixelprocessor and the license info will be their. That is what I had to do. It worked fine after that.

Apologies for not coming back to this sooner, it's always advised to keep your license info safe indeed. But usually we can get you the info quickly as well, unfortunately there have been some personal difficulties that prevented me from helping out.

Hi @nitesky,

I can see that you were able to activate your license last week so I assume that everything is okay now?

To explain what happened, the 2.0.0-beta26 had an additional fix in the application security controlling the activated computers for a license. Users with an older APP version like 1.083 or older could have been affected by a bug in the computer activation and thus installing beta26 fixed that by re-activating on the computer. It should not happen anymore with subsequent releases.
