Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

What does it mean when these green squares we add turns yellow and red? And should we leave those in there, or remove them before continuing?

Thanks!

@rockinrod Those are indicators that APP isn't happy with the location and/or size of the boxes. Red is worse than yellow. You can leave them and see if the light pollution correction is performed well. If it is then OK, if not then you need to remove them and place them somewhere else and try again.

Ah, okay, that makes sense. Glad I know now. Been looking at these over a year now, not knowing. I'm doing much better with it now after the stretch and Saturation increases made before eliminating the LP...

Thanks Again,

Slight correction I think, but the colors represent how well the location of those boxes match the internal model APP is creating. It's slightly confusing in that sense, because it doesn't mean that a red box is bad per-se. You just have to check the result first. You can always use it, then clear the boxes and replace them on the corrected image, as you now can see better what the background is and what not.

@vincent-mod

It will take some experimentation for sure.
