Mar 28 2026 APP 2.0.0-beta40 will be released in 7 days.
It did take a long time to have the work finished on this and it will have a major performance boost of 30-50% over 2.0.0-beta39 from calibration to integration. We extensively optimized many critical parts of APP. All has been tested to guarantee correct optimizations. Drizzle and image resampling is much faster for instance, those modules have been completely rewritten. Much less memory usage. LNC 2.0 will be released which works much better and faster than LNC in it's current state. And more, all will be added to the release notes in the coming weeks...
Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual
We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.
Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.
Hello, i use Beta 33.
After the intergration, i load my intergrated OSC file in the lights, than go to tab 2 and scroll down to split channels to get RGB. Click on the save calibrated light and i get this error?
I test it in Beta 29 and there the splitting works fine, no problems.
I guess you need to fix this in Beta 33 @Mabula
Hi Stefan, @stefanastro
Thank you very much for reporting this error. I will test it myself and fix it as soon as possible. I will let you know, if I need your data to fix this.
Mabula
@mabula-admin thanks for your response.
Do you need my intergrated light frame? Or all lights with master calibration frames of my Caldwell 5 object?
Hi Stefan @stefanastro,
Thank you very much for reporting this, this is indeed a regression bug in beta33. I have already found the problem and will fix it immediately 😉 so it can be inlcuded in 2.0.0-beta34 which will be released in the coming days.
Mabula
@mabula-admin thank you. 🤗 je bent geweldig. Your awesome
- FIXED 2)CALIBRATE, save RGB calibrated frames with split channels
As reported here https://www.astropixelprocessor.com/community/main-forum/error-in-beta-33-when-i-want-to-split-the-channels-after-stacking/ , 2.0.0-beta33 has a regression bug in the calibrated frames saver when you save with the option split channels enabled. This Null Pointer Exception has been fixed and saving with split channels works again.
@mabula-admin thanks. Now I have to wait when you release beta 34. Great job
Will probably be tomorrow morning, the release of 2.0.0-beta34 😉
@mabula-admin hi, i haven't test it yet, I am so busy to collect many data now we got clear skies in the Netherlands. But I'll try to test it tomorrow with old data, I am free tomorrow 😉.
I'll let you know
