Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual
We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.
Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.
First, I’m doing Narrowband. Is it better to do light pollution correction before or after color combine?
Second, is it possible to do a color combine, leave the tool, and still bring the combined image back into color combine for editing??
Thanks, Wayne Hixson
- I always fully process the various narrow-band integrations before combining them yes. Combining the cleanest data is, I think, the best.
- That I actually never tried. 🙂 I just did and it doesn't seem to work in my case (R,G,B data combined stack). It does see 3 channels, but the sliders didn't have the desired effect, so not really sure, Bula? (@mabula-admin)
Thanks Vincent! Besides light pollution correction, what other processing, if any, do you do on the individual panels?
Wayne
What I usually try first is to make seperate integrations, using the multi-filter setting (and multi-session) to register everything against each other. Normalization is then taken care of etc. I then Integrate based on Quality and only integrate about 90%, so the best frames are selected. LNC I usually turn on and very mild noise rejection. The integrations I then correct for light pollution and then combine them.
