Mar 28 2026 APP 2.0.0-beta40 will be released in 7 days.
It did take a long time to have the work finished on this and it will have a major performance boost of 30-50% over 2.0.0-beta39 from calibration to integration. We extensively optimized many critical parts of APP. All has been tested to guarantee correct optimizations. Drizzle and image resampling is much faster for instance, those modules have been completely rewritten. Much less memory usage. LNC 2.0 will be released which works much better and faster than LNC in it's current state. And more, all will be added to the release notes in the coming weeks...
Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual
We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.
Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.
Hi, I am really happy there is finally support for the R6 cr3 files. THANKS!! I have made good MD and MB but something is messing up my MF. Can someone take a look at my files please and see whats going on? I'm getting a pure white image on my MF. The individual flat files look good tho. Using a high thread count white t-shirt over the camera lens, in a dark room using the display on my MacBook Pro as I have done successfully many times in the past with refractors and camera lenses.

What APP version are you using at the moment? We'll have a look as well, please allow for a day.
Latest version! Previous ones I could not use R6 raw files.

Thanks, downloading right now, please allow for up to a day of processing.
Ok, so for your flats you'd also need a bias or darkflat with the iso and exposure length (and same offsets etc) as the flats. The bias you have has a different iso, so that may already cause issues there.
Besides this, there's also something going on with the bias (and probably dark then as well). The mean values are very high on it, if you load in 1 masterbias APP will still use it and due to the high noise level, the flats are not calibrated properly. There are some weird normalization factors applied by APP to convert from 14-bit to 16-bit. Could you explain how exactly you made the darks and bias (what software etc.) and what steps you performed before the masters were made? Thanks!
