Apr 9 2026 APP 2.0.0-beta40 has been released !

It has a major performance boost of 30-50% over 2.0.0-beta39 from calibration to integration, for mosaics even faster! We extensively optimized many critical parts of APP. All has been tested to guarantee correct optimizations. Drizzle and image resampling is much faster for instance, those modules have been completely rewritten. Much less memory usage. LNC 2.0 will be released which works much better and faster than LNC in it's current state. Improved Outlier Rejection with LN 2.0 rejection. macOS CMD+A works now in file chooser ! And more, all will be added to the release notes in the coming hours...

Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

It appears if I don't delete the individual dark and bias frames APP will reprocess them even though there are masters loaded.

That shouldn't happen, are you sure it is doing that? Is the below option selected in the "Load" (1) tab?

Yes, that is checked but so is the "Create Master Bias and Dark" in the Calibrate module if that makes a difference.

That shouldn't make a difference. Very interesting, could you give more details about APP version, platform and what exactly you did to create the bias- and darkframes?

Sure. Pretty much loaded all the individual bias and flats into the loader and ran a series of lights through the integration process. This Created masters. I then cleaned out the lights and loaded more lights from the same camera that would use the same masters. Clicked integrate. It started by created new BPMs with the master darks already there but then went through the whole Calibration process recreating the masters. I'm on Windows 10 with APP version 1.068

Another problem. I started a Ha mosaic. I created 4 panels with APP through the integration process. When I cleaned out the lights and loaded the panels, APP did not recognize them as lights unless I disabled the Recognize Masters and Integrations checkbox
