UPDATE FROM MABULA
I have had a very rough 2 months unfortunately health wise. I was struck 3x in a row with bacterial infections. The second infection occurred  after a routine hospital checkup and I became very sick. I had to rest and take a lot of antibiotics. Once I was recovering and restarting work 1 month ago, I again became sick. The infection was not yet gone, so even more antibiotics and rest was needed. Needless to say, it took a lot of my energy and I needed a lot of rest.
Finally, the infection is really gone and my energy is coming back step-by-step now and I have started work again. I am terribly sorry to have kept you waiting for support. I will address all outstanding questions and e-mails step-by step and will be on the forum daily from today.
APP 2.0.0-beta47 will come soon as well, a lot of work was already completed before I became very ill, so the release is also nearly ready for you. Beta47 will be much faster actually. Many workflows will be more than 2x faster, mosaics can even be 10x faster than before because registration really received a major boost... all compared to beta46. Â Before I release it, I will make sure that everything is working properly and then I will release it.
I just finished testing 1.060, successfully calibrating 25 light frames taken with an ASI1600.
Calibration and integration went fine. However, when I loaded the final integration to do post-processing, 1.060 paused for nearly a minute on the background neutralization step. The image finally did load, but the buttons, sliders, and other functions (e.g., zoom in and out, exit) were inoperable or *extremely* slow. The Xorg process began to consume all available CPU. 1.060 became useless at that point.
Very disappointing. Going back to 1.059.

Apologies for this inconvenience.
And thank you for reporting this. I will run some tests here in different Linux distributions to solve this and I will build a fixed version as soon as possible.
Can you share with me which Linux distribution exactly that you are using?
I will report back if I know what's happening and if I have solved it.

I have found the problem 😉 and it's easily fixed. It has to do with the abilities of the graphics driver actually. I changed some drawing code of the GUI and that is not supported well by the Xorg process clearly. So I will build new APP 1.060 versions that have this fixed for Linux.
I will report back here when you can download the fix and try again 😉

I have build a fixed version APP 1.061, it's now available for download.
Please try and let me know if everything is working like it's supposed to be with drawing of APP's GUI on your Ubuntu system.
I tested this on a Linux Mint 17.1 virtual pc and the issue was resolved, so I expect it to be resolved on your Ubuntu system as well, but any feedback is highly appreciated 😉
