It did take a long time to have the work finished on this and it will have a major performance boost of 30-50% over 2.0.0-beta39 from calibration to integration. We extensively optimized many critical parts of APP. All has been tested to guarantee correct optimizations. Drizzle and image resampling is much faster for instance, those modules have been completely rewritten. Much less memory usage. LNC 2.0 will be released which works much better and faster than LNC in it's current state. And more, all will be added to the release notes in the coming weeks...
Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual
We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.
Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.
I have 2.0 v20 updated. APP will not allow me to load files from my documents, all pictures are just greyed out and can't select them. This is the first time this has ever happened? What should I do?
From which version did you upgrade? Have you tried completely removing APP first and then installing beta20 ? It sounds like something is messed up with your privileges running APP on your system. On which Operating System does this occur?
@mabula-admin I upgraded from v17 but had the same issue (previously functioning normally last I used it about 6 weeks ago). I’m running OS Ventura 13.4.1. I’ve gone to privacy options and don’t have any permissions to give. Still troubleshooting…thanks for the quick reply.
Okay, that is great to hear. Please let us know if it happens again though. I have never seen this before. For my information, did you in fact re-install APP?
I think I know what happened, the File Chooser window in macOS should have a button with show/hide options, if you show the options, you can select a file format filter. In your case the file format filter was set in such a way that your ARW files could not be selected and thus they were greyed out. In your screenshot I do not see this show/hide options button and this can be caused by some setting in macOS I think. On my mac computers, the button is always there. The file format filter is set by default to be able to load all APP supported files. I guess a re-installation of APP fixed that for you?
