May 27 2026 APP 2.0.0-beta45 has been released !

Fully Multi-Threaded LNC, many improvements for the registration engine, platform upgrade, and further tuning of internal memory consumption and memory release back to OS.

Apr 14 2026: Google Pay, Apple Pay & WeChat Pay added as payment options

Update on the 2.0.0 release & the full manual

We are getting close to the 2.0.0 stable release and the full manual. The manual will soon become available on the website and also in PDF format. Both versions will be identical and once released, will start to follow the APP release cycle and thus will stay up-to-date to the latest APP version.

Once 2.0.0 is released, the price for APP will increase. Owner's license holders will not need to pay an upgrade fee to use 2.0.0, neither do Renter's license holders.

Processed 3 stacks of multiple sessions.  All 3 of those results showed no artifacts.  So I then stacked the 3 resulting images.

Not what I intended but kinda pretty.

@mrrat Hi Steven,

Do you get this also when you load all raw images plus calibration files at once?

Tried all without calibration files and result was ok.

With calibration files is fine.

Now testing stacking sessions but this time without using anything on the tools tab.  ...

Integrated the sessions separately but stopped and did no further individual processing on them.

This time I could only get 3 of the frames to register.  And Integration produced this:

That looks very odd, what are your settings in APP.

- Amount of stars

- Normalization mode

- Do you use MBB and LNC?

What is the calibration data like, can you post an example off the masterDark, masterBias and masterFlat?

A couple more test results before i had to go to work.

1 stack using a dual narrowband filter.  Integrated

1 stack using UV filter.  Integrated.

Both integration results fine.

Stack those 2 results and using LNC causes specific issue and using MBB causes a different issue.  Using both looks like the first picture.

Sorry I had to go to work before I could validate my latest testing and upload samples.  I''ll do that when i get home.

Ok, might be something between narrowband and RGB maybe, would you mind uploading like 10 lights of both dataset and 10 of each calibration data files to our server? We can probably tell more then.
